A Special Message To Wake County Veterans
I want to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude and appreciation for those who have served our nation in our armed services.
Our Republic stands strong today because we have a military tradition based on the rule of law and the respect for a government that is duly elected and representative of our people.
I too have found great pride in serving in the U.S. Army Reserve. My experience has been one of great importance to me as a person. My commitment to public service is based on my military career and my desire to make sure we can do great things when we are working together.
On this Veteran’s Day, again, I say Thank You and wish you and your family all the best. Thank you for working, serving and protecting all our American families. Our nation stands proud today because of the contributions our Veterans have made to protect the land we love.

Roy Taylor on Leadership
Together we the people achieve more than any single person could ever do alone.
Wake County citizens deserve a capable, competent Sheriff.
Hello, I’m Roy Taylor and I’m running for Sheriff of Wake County as a Democrat.
I know its early to announce but practically every week we are seeing headlines out of the Sheriff’s Department that question the competence and leadership of our current Sheriff.
Whether it is managing the budget, facing personnel lawsuits, overseeing the county’s gun range or staffing of-patrol deputies – we all know the Sheriff’s office is in decline.
If you elect me as your Sheriff here’s what I will do:
• I will increase the number of road patrol deputies.
• I will advocate for pay raises for all deputies, detention officers and administrative staff
• I will work to revamp our civil division to improve the efficiency of our courthouse bailiffs and our deputies serving court-orders
• Finally, I will improve in-service training and expand our school resource officer division – working with our public schools to ensure the safest environment for our children to learn in.
Competent, capable leadership. That’s what my campaign is all about.
I look forward to talking with you on the campaign trail.
